'On The Line' marks our Senior Musical Theatre class' return to live indoor theatre. After an extremely difficult two years, the CSS students return to the boards with a very unique piece of work. Using the songs from the student’s favourite musicals, Centre Stage School wish to address the social problems that surround technology and the precarious age of social media in which our young people are growing up. With dialogue written by playwright Katie Holly, this production was a real team effort; Producer Kerry Nyhan, Choreographer David O Connor, Musical Director Carrie Mullane, and Director Danny Buckley really wanted to give these talented students a safe platform to perform, and once again reignite the fire in their bellies to act, sing, dance, and tell stories. Artistic Director Aideen McAuliffe says 'Having such an inclusive and open creative process with these teenagers over the last few months has reaffirmed our belief in their brilliance and the positive effect that the arts can have on their social and creative development'. Centre stage School are delighted to be back and are very proud of their first post-pandemic production 'On the Line’. Tickets are available on www.corkartstheatre.com for performances on Saturday February 12th at 7pm and Sunday February 13th at 3pm & 7pm.
