Why we do this
The answer is quite simple…because we love it!
Lets face it: growing up can be hard at times. Considering the stress of social conformity and peer pressure, we at Centre Stage strive to surround the child with a positive creative environment where all personalities can shine amongst friends.
Our staff sincerely love, and believe in, their craft. They firmly stand over the numerous benefits students gain from emmersing themselves in this world of creativity, imagination and dedication. We also adore the creative process which begins with a thought and a daydream, develops as a collaborative process with our students and finally manifests itself as a beautiful, emotive piece of performing art, on stages such as Cork Opera House, the Cork Arts Theatre and The Everyman Palace.
When we ask students what they like most about Centre Stage, one of the most consistently repeated answers we get is ‘friendship’. Students who are initially nervous or apprehensive on their first day, leave Centre Stage with life long friends, and become welcome members of the Centre Stage community.
