Footwork 2018 is here...

The costumes are ready, the music is prepped and the lights are about to go up on ‘Footwork’, which is the annual showcase performance by students from Centre Stage School, Mallow, held in Cork Opera House this Sunday 20th May.  For the past 15 years, Centre Stage School has been a centre of excellence in performing arts for young people aged 3 to 18 years.  Rehearsals started back in September for the tap, ballet, modern, jazz and acro dance classes, as well as the musical theatre classes, and there is a buzz of excitement around as performers polish their dance steps and practice their lyrics.  Teachers and choreographers have put together a wide and varied range of songs and dances including numbers from recent hit musical ‘The Greatest Showman’, popular Disney movie ‘Moana’, Broadway’s ‘Dear Evan Hansen’, classic musical ‘Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, and many more.  Such is the demand for tickets that there are two performances on the day; 2pm and 7pm.  Bookings can be made on 021 427 0022 or by visiting www.corkoperahouse.ie.  This promises to be an unforgettable display of up and coming talent from Mallow, Charleville, Kanturk and the surrounding areas.
