Beating the Covid Blues at Centre Stage School

With the closure of the schools, Centre Stage School followed suit - nothing is more important than the health and well being of our teachers, our students and their families.  We knew we would miss our students, teachers and classes so we immediately kicked into action setting up  online classes for our Singing, Piano, Guitar, Violin and Ukulele students, which all started this week.  We also established online Drama classes for our budding young actors.  These classes have been running all week to great success and we are delighted to be able to provide a continuation of some normality for children and teenagers in the North Cork Area.  If you or your child would like to use this time of isolation at home to try an online class please get in contact with us at We are currently working on providing online content for our larger group classes, in particular for Musical Theatre and Dance, and we will be updating the parents of children in these classes through our Whatsapp groups.  We hope you and yours are all safe and well, and that you are getting through this difficult time.  We look forward to seeing classes return as soon as possible at our studio in Mallow, St. Joseph’s School in Charleville, the Edel Quinn Hall in Kanturk and at the many preschools we usually visit on a weekly basis with our Theatre Tots programme.  Take care out there!

Lucy has been attending Centre Stage since the age of 4.  I can’t thank the teachers and staff enough for all they instill in our kids; the talent, confidence & camaraderie inside those doors are so important, and it's a privilege for any child to be part of, and something which they’ll carry with them through life.

My daughter Aoibhe Lilly has attended Centre Stage for the past 5 years. The overall experience has been phenomenal. She has always enjoyed the high standard of classes on offer. Centre Stage offers a caring, nurturing environment, where love of arts is encouraged, in a place where children can dance, act, sing, laugh and have fun, making lifelong friends and memories. In Aoibhes own words 'It's my happy place'!

My daughter has been attending Centre Stage School for 4 years. She started with Theatre Tots and moved on ward from there. The musical theatre classes have been instrumental in the development of her self-confidence, as well as her great love for music and dance. The teachers and staff include and encourage all children of all abilities, and each child has a chance to shine. I couldn’t recommend Centre Stage School highly enough. Thank you to everyone there for the amazing work you do!
