On Saturday 12th and Sunday 13th March, a group of 50 Centre Stage School performers travelled with teachers and chaperones to Dublin to compete at the prestigious 5678 Elite Dance Competition in Dublin. These dancers prepared a staggering 40 performances to enter into the competition, all created by David O'Connor, Aoibhinn Quirke and Lesley Anne Radcliffe. Since September these teachers and students have created these 40 pieces as a group, which is a massive achievement in itself, but the standard of dance and the level of talent in this group is amazing, and is something to be celebrated. On top of that, the group were highly placed in most categories, and won awards in all age categories. They have worked so hard to get where they are and, despite 2 years of Covid, this team is stronger than ever. Centre Stage School would like to thank the students and teachers for their commitment to the preparations for the competition, the chaperones who travelled with them and the parents who have supported the students all the way.
