LAMDA Exams (Acting, Singing, Verse and Prose)
LAMDA (London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art) exams are divided into 3 categories; Acting, Singing and Verse and Prose.
Acting - The learner performs one or two dramatic monologues (depending on the grade), and must demonstrate (through conversation with the examiner) an understanding and an ability to interpret the text.
Singing - The learner performs one or two songs from Musical Theatre genre (depending on the grade), and must demonstrate knowledge of the character within the context of the Musical from which the song/songs are taken.
Verse and Prose - The learner performs one or two poems (depending on the grade), and must demonstrate an understanding of the text, as well as communication skills.
