Piano

We have a long history of piano teaching here in Centre Stage School, with students consistently excelling in our end of year examinations. This year alone we had students of all grades and ages sitting exams with the Royal Irish Academy of Music.  Recently some of our teachers have begun teaching 'Keys', which is a slightly different approach to playing the piano or keyboard - exams can be done in this form of playing under the Academy of Popular Music. Classes are weekly and practice is essential to ensure you can reach your potential tinkling the ivory.  From the second year of lessons onwards students are invited to perform at a display for friends and family.  One to one classes can be booked at any time here, and to read about our fully qualified and exceptional Piano and Keys teachers (Roisin Lane, Michelle McCarthy, Rory O'Brien, Aisling O'Keeffe and Eimear Hayes) click here.

Violin is taught at CSS under the esteemed guidance of Caoimhe McCarthy, and demand for these individual classes is growing steadily and sells out every year.  Caoimhe has a great manner with each student helping them to reach their potential, and examinations are available in this instrument also.  From the second year of lessons onwards students are invited to perform at a display for friends and family.  One to one violin classes can be booked here.

Guitar lessons have always been popular here in Centre Stage School. Our teachers Rory O'Brien and Roisin Lane are capable of adjusting the music style to suit each student, and ensure that the student will enjoy learning this timeless instrument.  From the second year of lessons onwards students are invited to perform at a display for friends and family.  One to one guitar classes are available to book here, and to read more about our teachers' experience and qualifications, click here.

Testimonials

Lucy has been attending Centre Stage since the age of 4.  I can’t thank the teachers and staff enough for all they instill in our kids; the talent, confidence & camaraderie inside those doors are so important, and it's a privilege for any child to be part of, and something which they’ll carry with them through life.

My daughter Aoibhe Lilly has attended Centre Stage for the past 5 years. The overall experience has been phenomenal. She has always enjoyed the high standard of classes on offer. Centre Stage offers a caring, nurturing environment, where love of arts is encouraged, in a place where children can dance, act, sing, laugh and have fun, making lifelong friends and memories. In Aoibhes own words 'It's my happy place'!

My daughter has been attending Centre Stage School for 4 years. She started with Theatre Tots and moved on ward from there. The musical theatre classes have been instrumental in the development of her self-confidence, as well as her great love for music and dance. The teachers and staff include and encourage all children of all abilities, and each child has a chance to shine. I couldn’t recommend Centre Stage School highly enough. Thank you to everyone there for the amazing work you do!
