NEW Acting for Camera classes September 2023

Our Acting for Camera class offers our students another avenue in developing the skills of acting. As with all of our drama classes, students will explore imagination, character development, understanding text, subtext and finding truth in their storytelling. In Acting for Camera, students continue developing those skills through monologues and scenes with an emphasis in cinematic technique to experience what it is like to be in front of the camera. Audition style workshops and “cold readings” will also be structured into the course. Students will watch back their scenes once a month to review and and analyse their work in preparation for their year-end showreel. By the end of Term 2, each student will shoot a 1 minute industry standard showreel, professionally shot and edited by Madra Mór Productions. Most spaces in our hugely popular Acting for Camera classes, taught by the wonderful Emily Dwyer, have been booked but we have some spaces available in Saturday 11.40am class, so book now!
